How the calculation works

Each pack fills a 20 ft container differently. A container holds 80 drums of 230 kg, or 18.4 tonnes of paste. Retail packs hold less paste per container, because cartons and packaging take part of the space: 17.4 tonnes in 800 g tins and 6.2 tonnes in 35 g sachets. The calculator divides your quantity by the paste one container holds for your pack, and rounds up to whole containers.

The minimum order is one full container. If your quantity leaves the last container part-full, raising the order to fill it costs less per tonne in freight than shipping a part-empty container.
